SOUTHWICK PARISH
Our parish does not have a parish council. Instead we are formed as a ‘parish meeting’ which is an informal gathering of residents.. As a parish meeting we are primarily concerned with discussing matters of local concern and to provide a forum for residents of our village to voice opinions and concerns. We have limited impact on decision making within the parish and have no legal powers or duties but we can listen and sign-post concerns to the relevant authorities.
We hold an annual meeting once a year in conjunction with the Village Hall AGM. Notice of the date is posted on the village notice boards, on the village WhatsApp group and via the delivery of flyers to households.
